Overview

The Fjord

Seyðisfjörður is one of Iceland's most picturesque fjords. To truly understand its scale, you need to see it from the water with locals who know every rock and wave. Your guides, known locally as the Viking Brothers, bring an infectious energy to this tour, offering a perspective of the East Fjords you simply cannot get from the shoreline.

The Experience

After gearing up in warm flotation suits, you board a high-performance RIB boat. The tour strikes a perfect balance between adrenaline-pumping speed to reach the best locations and quiet drifting to soak in the nature. You will explore beneath sheer cliffs and cascading waterfalls, visiting a puffin colony during the summer and keeping a sharp eye out for porpoises and whales.

The Local Difference

Between the wildlife sightings, the brothers share the real history of the fjord. From World War II relics to local folklore about trolls and avalanches, their storytelling is delivered with humor and genuine pride. You are not just a passenger on a boat ride. You are exploring the East Fjords with the guys who grew up throwing rocks into them.

What an absolute blast! 🚤 The rib boat ride in Seyðisfjörður was already jaw-dropping thanks to the scenery, but the two brothers running it turned it into one of the best rides ever! They’re funny, full of interesting stories, and somehow manage to make you laugh while you’re also sitting there with your mouth open at the beauty of the fjord. The vibe on the boat was super warm and friendly – like going on an adventure with old friends (just ones who drive way cooler boats). Highly recommend if you want a mix of stunning nature and lots of laughs!

We had an amazing trip with our family on the zodiac with Vikings Hilmer and Hafþór! We loved the Viking spirit of the two brothers — they didn’t hesitate to joke around while sharing fascinating stories about the fjord and its wildlife. Our jaws dropped when we saw the seals and seabirds up close. We didn’t find treasure in the raven’s nest, but the zodiac did bring us back safely to Seyðisfjörður and to our loved ones. Great experience! Thank you 🫶🏻

An AMAZING experience! We saw a dolphin, seals, herring, jellyfish, and various birds. You get to see places you'd never be able to reach on your own. Sailing on the high waves is really cool! You get a thick suit, gloves, and a life jacket if needed. The brothers are very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. If you're here, you absolutely must book this!

This was a win for our entire family. Our 2 older sons (ages 22 & 18) loved being out on the open water and talking with our awesome guides. My husband and I loved hearing about the history from 2 viking brothers and learning more about the island. 2 hours was perfect timing and I highly recommend booking this!

This family owned business is run by locals who really understand the area. While touring the fjord we saw a seal, 2 whales and numerous nesting birds. If you want to see puffins this is the tour for you. In addition to the wildlife, the brothers gave an excellent history of the area from Viking times to the present. They even took us into a small cave. A wonderful experience well worth the price.
